Fill in the form and our compliance team will contact you to verify your identity and start the process. This page is the official channel to request deletion of the data collected by the efy app and this website. ## What happens to your data ### What we delete - Your profile: name, email, phone, address and account preferences. - Your sign-in credentials and the devices linked to your session. - The documents and images you uploaded during identity verification, once the legal retention period has expired. - The app usage data linked to your profile and your marketing communications. - The cards and wallets linked to your account, which are cancelled. ### What we have to keep efy is a regulated financial infrastructure. Anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorist-financing rules require us to keep certain information even after you close your account: - The record of the transactions you made and their receipts. - The identification data collected during the KYC process and its audit trail. - The reports and supporting records required by the authorities in each jurisdiction. This information is kept for the period required by the applicable rules in each market where we operate, stays blocked for any other use, and is deleted once that period ends. The details are in our [Privacy Policy](https://www.efyfinance.com/en/legal/privacy). ## Before you send the request - If your account has an available balance, withdraw it first: once the account is closed we cannot process withdrawals in your name. - Check that you have no transactions in progress, pending conversions or scheduled payments. - Deletion is permanent. To use efy again you will have to open a new account and go through identity verification once more. ## Request form The data we ask for here is used only to verify that you are the account holder and to process your request. Fields marked with * are required. Full name * Email linked to the account * It must be the same email you use to sign in to the app. If you enter a different one, we will not be able to find your account. Phone linked to the account Optional. It helps us find your account if your email changed. Send request ## What happens after you send it 1. 1 We verify your identity We write to the email linked to the account to confirm the request comes from the account holder. This is a legal requirement: without that verification we cannot delete anything. 2. 2 We review your account We check that no balances, transactions in progress or pending obligations are left, and tell you if there is anything to settle before going ahead. 3. 3 We carry out the deletion We close the account and delete the data we are not required to keep.
