# How to turn on two-factor verification (2FA)

Add an extra layer of security to protect access to your account.

Two-factor verification protects your account even if someone already knows your password. Turn it on in under two minutes.

1. 1 Go to Security From your profile, open the Security section and select Two-factor verification.

2. 2 Link your authenticator app Scan the QR code with your app (Google Authenticator, Authy, or another).

3. 3 Confirm the code Enter the 6-digit code to turn on 2FA for your account.
