How to convert, buy, and sell on efy

Open the app and find the balance card on the home screen. That's where you'll find your account's main actions.

• 1Tap the "Convert" button next to Receive and Send.
• 2You can also use the center button on the bottom bar, which opens the Buy, Sell, and Convert options.

Specify which asset you're giving up and which one you want to receive. The app automatically calculates how much you'll get at the current rate.

• 1Enter the amount you want to convert in the "You pay" field. Your available balance appears below.
• 2Tap the asset selector to change the currency on either side (for example, USDT and BTC).
• 3The rate stays locked for a few seconds; the countdown shows how much time you have left. When it runs out, it updates automatically.
• 4Review the summary: exchange rate, fee, destination network, and settlement.
• 5Tap "Convert" to continue.

For your security, every conversion requires an extra confirmation before it goes through.

• 1Confirm with Face ID by double-clicking your phone's side button.
• 2If you prefer, tap "Enter code" and type the 6-digit code from your authenticator app.

The app carries out the conversion and credits the new asset to your wallet. This screen advances on its own — don't close the app.

When it's done, you'll see the receipt for the transaction with all the details.

• 1The credited amount is shown prominently, confirming that settlement was instant.
• 2The detail includes the source asset, the credited asset, the exchange rate applied, and the transaction reference.
• 3Tap "Done" to return to the home screen.

From the home screen, tap "Receive". A panel opens with the ways to add money to efy.

• 1Choose "Bank transfer". If your account isn't verified yet, this option appears locked until you complete identity verification.

Specify where the money for the purchase is coming from.

• 1efy account: uses the balance from one of your local or foreign currency accounts.
• 2External bank: transfer from a bank outside efy, following the instructions the app gives you.

The simulator shows how many digital assets you'll receive for the money you're giving up. The source currency is fixed based on the account you chose.

• 1Enter the amount in your currency in the "You pay" field.
• 2Choose the digital asset you want to receive (for example, USDT).
• 3The rate stays locked for a few seconds, with a visible countdown.
• 4Tap "Confirm purchase" once the summary looks correct.

As with every transaction, confirm with Face ID or the code from your authenticator app.

efy creates a purchase order with the exact instructions to complete the payment. This screen advances on its own.

If you're paying for the purchase with a bank transfer, the order tells you exactly what to do. Once the efy team validates your payment, the digital asset is credited to your wallet.

• 1Copy your reference code and enter it in the transfer's payment memo. It's required to identify your payment.
• 2Follow the 3 steps: transfer the exact amount from your bank, upload the receipt (photo or PDF), and wait for validation.
• 3Use "Upload receipt" once you've made the transfer. The order status moves from "Pending" to "Under review" and then to "Approved".

From "Send", choose "Bank transfer". Then specify where the money should go.

• 1efy account: the money stays in your own efy account, in that account's currency.
• 2External bank: the money goes to a bank account outside efy, in your country's local currency.

The simulator shows how much money you'll receive for the digital assets you're selling.

• 1Enter the amount of digital assets to sell in the "You sell" field. Your available balance appears below.
• 2The currency you receive is fixed based on the destination you chose in the previous step.
• 3For sales to an external bank, you can choose the settlement window: the longer the settlement time, the bigger the discount on what you receive.
• 4Tap the button to continue. If you're selling to your efy account, the button reads "Sell"; to an external bank, "Continue".

Confirm the transaction with Face ID or the code from your authenticator app.

• 2use "Enter code" with your 6-digit code.

A sale to your own efy account settles immediately. You'll see the receipt with the full detail.

• 1The amount credited to your account is shown prominently.
• 2The detail includes what you sold, the exchange rate, and the reference.

Specify the bank account that will receive the money. The fields change depending on your country (for example, CLABE in Mexico, account and bank in Colombia).

• 1Fill in the account holder's name, the bank, and the account number in your country's format.
• 2The app validates the number format as you type.
• 3You can save the beneficiary with an alias to reuse it next time.

Before creating the order, take a moment to check all the details. Once you confirm, the order enters processing.

• 1Check the pair: how many digital assets you're selling and how much money you'll receive.
• 2Check the beneficiary: name, bank, and destination account.
• 3Tap "Confirm order" to create it.

A sale to an external bank isn't credited right away: the order moves through stages until the beneficiary bank receives the funds.

• 1The timeline shows the current stage: order created, sending funds to the bank, and funds credited.
• 2As long as the order hasn't entered execution, you can tap "Request cancellation" and the funds will return to your wallet.
